• I finally got in touch with my femininity and spirituality when I got pregnant with my son, Calvin

• Beautiful land imprinted on my soul—one year later, my husband and I became owners of that land

• In September, 1975, we started building a yurt—with no previous carpenter experience

• That year we used a tipi for our bedroom

• I loved the roundness, the airiness, and how we could hear animals from inside the tipi

• I didn't like how damp winters made living in a tipi was a young son

• I was able to birth Christina in the yurt—another spiritual experience

• I have bought out 2 husbands and I am still here

• I fell in love with Steve Ryals, who is now my husband, in 1995, and he is still here with me

• We live off-the-grid, and have our businesses here

• Steve wrote Drunk with Wonder: Awakening to the God Within
  

• I retired from public school teaching last year

• I am a happy grandma, and get to play with our grandchild, Tessa, frequently

• I love doing healing energy work from our land (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
